Carrak Consulting is proud to be a sponsor of Cornwall Rural & Educational Skills Trust (CREST) this year. CREST is a charity with a mission “to preserve rural crafts, countryside skills and land-based education to support the heritage of our Cornish landscape and the people living, working and caring for this land.”
The charity provides a range of courses, from taster experiences to 10-day certified training in local rural skills. Having worked alongside Cornish hedgers on mining heritage sites, and having a deep appreciation of the historical and ecological value of these landscape features, Carrak Consulting was delighted to provide a bursary to fund a place on a Cornish hedging course with CREST. The Managing Director also spent a brilliant two days working with a hedging team in west Penwith, gaining first hand experience of both building and connecting with these incredible structures.
